  The first thing you need to know is that I am the firstborn son of a Free Methodist preacher.  I was raised in the church from. the. womb.  This has presented opportunities as well as problems in my journey that I am sure you will pick up on as you read thru this site.

   The biggest outcome in my life - from that kind of upbringing - has been the deep conviction and almost obsession with the REAL THING.  I saw "church."  It was "meh."  I've seen "emotion."  It was fleeting.  What I wanted was the gig Jesus talks about in the pages of the Gospels and that His Followers have LIVED at different times in history.  I long to be a part of the "Movement of Jesus" before I die.  But what does look like in a consumer culture that already has the "jesus t-shirt?!"  This is my journey.
